The Teleton Bus Project provides a critical service for hundreds of Los Cabos Children. Teleton, one of Mexico’s largest nonprofits, specializing in rehabilitation centers called CRITs, is operating the program with the support of the Chileno Bay Foundation, the El Dorado Foundation, and Los Cabos Children’s Foundation.

Almost 400 children from Los Cabos have had to drop out of Teleton’s rehabilitation program in La Paz due to lack of adequate transportation.  Other children have had to drop out of cancer treatment and other pediatric specialty care only offered in La Paz at Salvatierra Hospital.  The Bus Project has solved this and more.  It is a community-wide effort that provides transportation to the critical pediatric services only offered in La Paz; cancer treatment, cardiac care and other specialty care.  Although the Bus Project is operated by Teleton, any local nonprofit can use the services.
